About Us

KnowNet Initiative is an OPEN and VIRTUAL  initiative.

It explodes the myth that Knowledge Networking is technology or cost-intensive. In fact, Knowledge Networking is all about changing mindsets and attitudes,  and providing people an opportunity to further strengthen their capacities and enrich their own thought processes through cross-learnings.  Recognizing of knowledge in all its forms and contexts is of prime importance.

Each one of us could be a part of this initiative which transcends all geographical and cultural barriers. Voluntary efforts, intellectual contributions and involvement of each one of us will further the vision and reach of this Initiative.

We welcome volunteers who could synergize with the vision of KnowNet Initiative and enrich it even further at their own level and in their own capacity.

A global, decentralized trained force of ICT and Knowledge Networking Volunteers could make the benefits offered by the digital revolution and wealth of knowledge available in the public domain to perpetuate all strata of the society.

Please do have a look at our new project - Digital Governance. The project aims to catalyze innovative e-governance Models in the South. More details at  http://www.digitalgovernance.org

For further information about KnowNet Initiative or to how to get involved with it, email us at knownet@knownetweaver.org
